Daisy’s inspiration comes from a single common white daisy growing in my garden; its resilience to the extreme conditions it withstands always seems to amaze me. I guess the Daisy series is a tribute to a common everyday flower we tend to forget.
Flowers have always been my favorite subject matter. I love that I can control line colour and texture, while giving the viewer a perspective that is pleasing to the eye.

More dollars for Dungog Relay for Life
For the first time, Annie’s team entered in the recent Dungog District Relay for Life.
Organiser Leanne Atkins said they only decided three weeks before the event which didn’t leave them a lot of time to fundraise.
The team consisted of Leanne Atkins, Carolyn Andrews, Michelle Dollimore, Kelly Thompson, Nicole Lancaster, Tammie Lancaster, Samantha Simmonds, Racheal Whelan, Bradley Andrews, Craig Dollimore, Brayden Dollimore, Katie Beard, Rebecca Rumbel, Hannah Atkins and Grace Atkins.
“With a huge team effort from all team members, the girls from Lovely’s IGA held a fundraising lunch where family, friends and work colleagues gave generously,” she said.
“I also donated a daffodils painting which was raffled and we achieved our goal of raising $1500.
“Being our first relay we found it to be a very moving experience.
“It gave us all the opportunity to share our own stories, and to laugh, cry and be inspired by the courage and strength of so many affected by cancer.”
The winner of the raffle, which was drawn by Janelle O’Neill from the Dungog Chronicle, was Carol Pasenow.
